COVID-19 Safety Protocols
Our community has been through a lot over the past few months and all of us are looking forward to resuming a more normal way of life. Recently our state has taken measures to reopen and has provided us with a road map to do so as well. We are closely following their guidelines and have set Tuesday, May 19, 2020 as our office reopening date. We are glad to inform you that as of today, we were able to restock our PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
One big change for our practice is we are going to see our patients in a new office location. This move was already anticipated before Covid-19 shut us down. The NEW OFFICE is in the same plaza at 4330 Barranca Parkway but now in SUITE 220 (previously 200). So, same plaza, same floor, just a couple suites toward the back of the building.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it is safe and comfortable. We want to tell you more about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep both patients and staff safe.
We follow safety recommendations made by the ADA (American Dental Association), the CDA (California Dental Association), the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), and the OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) to be up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance.
Below are the procedures that we shall be implementing:
- We will continue to have enhanced cleaning and disinfection of all surfaces in our office.
- Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in our office. And we shall be taking your temperature before entering our office. Further details will be provided at the time of your appointment.
- We will ask that you use the hand sanitizer we have provided upon entering the office, in the reception area as well as the other places in the office.
- Appointments will be managed to allow social distancing between patients. That might mean that you are offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
Vivian, Nancy and I are excited and we are so looking forward to seeing you again, starting May 19. We miss our patient family!
